Assignment #1 - Read Chapters 1 and 2 by 3/21/11

Our Book Club will start on Monday, March 14th. We will try to do 2 chapters a week. Please feel free to comment and discuss what you think about that - if it is too much/too little. We can make changes, extend deadlines, etc. whenever we need to do it. Don't feel pressure, just enjoy!
Mom is going to post some ideas to comment on for the first assignment week, so watch for those.
If you can, choose to follow this blog so that you can get notices about when things are added or comments are made, etc.
So, for the first week - let's start with the first two chapters.
Happy Reading!! ;)

  2. I know that I can handle more than 2 chapters a week of this book. Some of the other books we choose may not go so fast, but this one seems to be pretty quick reading - what does everyone else think?

Maybe we should suggest a time to have the book read instead of chapter assignments per week???

Also, the suggestion was made that everyone start to get their ideas for books that they will choose so that we can get them out to people well ahead of time and people can get them bought (or ordered, or at the library (which sometimes involves reserving and waiting).

  3. Now I can actually comment, yea! Thanks Lisa.

I am also finding the reading going quick & would like to finish the book before life gets really busy for me. Maybe by the end of the month? Either way I am good.

  4. I like the idea of "have read by" however, maybe we could do both.

A have read by date and a suggested weekly schedule to follow that would successfully have you completing the book if you followed it?

  5. Good ideas Kara and Bethany. I like the idea of a read by date with the added "suggested reading schedule."
We could have the person that chose the book come up with questions however they want to do it.
If there is no opposition to that, I think that sounds great.
