How has this book impacted you the most?

  1. I absolutely love the advice given by Grandma Rose. It has made me think more about my priorities and my perspective about life. It has made me want to stop judging people - especially when I can very seldom understand completely their experiences and their perspectives.

I think it also impacted me because it reminded me that life is probably never going to be easy, and we will all probably face some very difficult things, but we can face the hard times and triumph over them if we focus on what's most important in life - our family - and love.

I have loved this book. I have loved Grandma Rose's advice and understanding about life, and I'm glad we got to read it. Thanks Bethany for your choice of book. It's been great!

  2. I will different because of this book. I have already noticed a change in my thinking. I loved this book!

I have focused more on living in the moment. Not taking anyone or anything for granted. I have a decision to make each day. I choose to love and appreciate all that I have in my relationships and in general in my life. There is so much to enjoy and so many ways to prevent regrets.

It has helped me to really think about what I say and do, for it has a lasting effect for good or bad whether I want it to or not.

Terry always says, "There are so many opportunities not to suck!" As raw and blunt as it sounds, I love it and try to do better each day with each interaction, with each choice.

I will forever love this book. I had only read half of it when I chose it so I was a bit hesitant at it's slow start, but quickly learned to love it and couldn't put it down!

I love you all and appreciate the influence you have had on me and my family! xoxoxo

  4. I really love that I could relate so much to it. A young baby. Complications beyond your control. Still seeing others that need you and what you can do to help them. Realizing that as much as I am in my own little world, there are so many other people that are going through the same things I am and that if I stopped my pity parties and just reached out a little more, I would see where I could help others more.

I also really loved that there is so much to learn from Mom and Grammy and what I remember learning from Grandma Hanks. It really makes me appreciate other's life experiences and what they have taught me.

    Good pick Bethany!
