The Gable Faces East - Question #8

8- I think the message of this book is that love transcends all obstacles and you are not ruled by your blood but can make your own choices. Do you think love is truly strong enough to conquer all things?

  1. Love cannot always make bad things good, but it can make bad things tolerable. With a strong partnership and deep love and trust, you can survive much more than you might think. If to conquer means to be able to survive and move on through life, I do think love can conquer it all.

  2. I believe in love conquers all. Just like the earlier question about being open to love and vulnerable to the whole spectrum of emotions, I think when you have a deep, loving relationship it can sustain you through anything in life.

  3. Absolutely! I believe love is by far the strongest, most powerful emotion we have.

  4. I think that love is something that like mom said, can't heal everything, but can make anything better. I think that many many situations and circumstances in life can be easier or at least cushioned when you know that you are supported and cared for and that someone is going through things with you.

  5. When you live without love for long enough you realize how priceless it really is to love and be loved. Love doesn't really stop hard or bad things from happening but I absolutely believe that it can help you conquer what needs conquering. The alternative is to do it alone and that my friends is kinda hard.
